The Apostolic Witnesses: A Mission for the World and Beyond

Founded on March 10, 2026, by Bishop‑Abbot Rt. Rev. Elliot Esch, the Apostolic Witnesses stand as a new religious order with an ancient heart. We are a community forged in service, dedicated to bringing the grace of God and the fullness of the Catholic sacramental life to every corner of creation—especially those places long forgotten, overlooked, or deemed unreachable.

Our mission is simple in words yet immense in scope:

to preach, to serve, and to sanctify wherever the need is greatest.

Rooted in Tradition, Driven by Mission

At the center of our spiritual life is the Tridentine Mass, celebrated according to the 1954 Roman Missal and the 1955 Holy Week—a treasure of the Church’s liturgical heritage that we safeguard and share with reverence. We believe that the beauty, solemnity, and theological depth of this liturgy are gifts meant for all people, not only for those with easy access to established parishes or religious centers.

Wherever we go, the Mass goes with us.

Wherever we serve, the sacraments follow.

Going Where No Mission Has Gone Before

The Apostolic Witnesses were founded with a bold conviction: there are no boundaries to evangelization except the ones we accept. Too many communities—remote villages, isolated regions, disaster‑stricken areas, and places scarred by poverty or conflict—have gone without consistent sacramental presence. We refuse to let geography, hardship, or danger dictate who receives the grace of God.

Our plans are not small.

Our vision is not timid.

We are preparing to bring the Gospel and the sacraments to:

If people are there, the Church must be there.

If souls are there, Christ must be proclaimed.

A Witness to Hope in Every Place

We are committed to:

Our work is not merely humanitarian. It is sacramental.

It is not merely charitable. It is apostolic.

Daily Life in the Apostolic Witnesses

The daily rhythm of the Apostolic Witnesses is shaped by prayer, discipline, and readiness. Our life is anchored in seven prayers each day, sanctifying the hours and keeping our hearts fixed on God. Three of these prayers are prayed together in the chapel, uniting us as a community before the Lord and strengthening the bonds of our shared vocation. The remaining hours are prayed individually, allowing each member to carry the spirit of the liturgy into their work and mission.

We follow the Rule of St. Albert, whose wisdom guides us toward a life of contemplation, humility, and perseverance. Alongside this, we hold the Holy Scriptures as the living foundation of our daily conduct. Every action, every decision, every mission is measured against the Gospel and the example of the saints who walked before us.

Our formation is not merely spiritual—it is practical. We prepare for anything and everything: harsh climates, remote travel, cultural challenges, emergency response, and the unpredictable demands of missionary life. Whether we are called to serve in a forgotten village, a disaster‑stricken region, or a frontier of human exploration, we train to be ready. Our goal is simple: to never be unprepared when a soul is in need.

In prayer, in work, in study, and in mission, our daily life forms us into witnesses—steadfast, disciplined, and always ready to bring the grace of God wherever He sends us.

A Future Shaped by Faith

The Apostolic Witnesses believe that the Church’s mission is not confined to the past—it is alive, expanding, and called to meet the challenges of a changing world. As humanity reaches new horizons, we intend to ensure that the Gospel reaches with it.

From the most forgotten places on Earth

to the farthest places humanity may one day walk,

we will bear witness to the goodness of God.
